Chuck Albanese

Chuck Albanese Class of 1971 All Time Leading scorer in Mount Morris Basketball history. He scored over 1,300 points in his career. He was the leading member of the Section Five Class C Sectional Basketball Championship team in 1969. As a senior, he led all of Section Five in scoring averaging 28 points per game and was selected to the All Greater Rochester Basketball team. In that year he was selected to the Section Five Basketball All Tournament team. He was also the captain of 3 consecutive LCAA championship basketball teams in 1969, 1970, and 1971. In 1971, he set a New York State record for most free throws attempted and made in one game making 26 out of 30 attempts. He was also the captain and starting shortstop and pitcher for 4 years on the Varsity Baseball team. These teams made the sectional finals twice. After high school, this man went on to both Monroe Community College and SUNY Brockport. He has 4 fully grown children and he presently resides in Geneseo with his wife Chris. He remains actively involved in athletics as he is presently in his 34th year as an athletic official for a variety of sports. Soon a new banner will be purchased for the gymnasium highlighting this person as our all time leading scorer.
