The 10th annual Mount Morris vs. York Coaches vs. Cancer basketball game will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019, in the MMCSD gymnasium.
The District is seeking donations of gift cards and baskets for the raffle. If you are interested in contributing, please contact Marcie Prinzi at marcieprinzi@gmail.com or 585-507-7095. Arrangements can be made to pick up donations. The deadline for donations is Tuesday, January 29, 2019.
At halftime of the Boys’ Varsity Basketball game, a video will be presented in honor and in memory of friends and loved ones who have battled cancer. To submit someone for this ceremony, please email marcieprinzi@gmail.com with the person’s name, in honor/in memory of, a photo, and the type of cancer. Photos of these individuals will also be displayed around the gym. The District requests a $5 donation for each submission, which may be collected prior to or at the event. Checks can be made payable to HS Student Council.
All funds collected will be used to benefit two local families battling cancer and for research through the local chapter of The American Cancer Society.
The schedule of games is as follows:
· 1:00 p.m. – JV Girls’ Basketball vs. York
· 3:00 p.m. – JV Boys’ Basketball vs. York
· 5:00 p.m. – Varsity Girls’ Basketball vs. York
· 7:00 p.m. – Varsity Boys’ Basketball vs. York
The District will also be recognizing MMCSD senior athletes between games.
Coaches vs. Cancer t-shirts are also on sale until Friday, January 25, 2019. To order, please send an email to Student Council Advisor, Mr. Hussain (ohussain@mtmorriscsd.org) and include your name, shirt size(s), and method of payment. The t-shirts are white with a pink design. T-shirts cost $12 for sizes S-XL; $15 for sizes XXL+. Checks can be made payable to HS Student Council.
