The Mount Morris CSD Budget Vote and Board of Education Election are taking place on Tuesday, May 21st from noon until 9 pm in the JH/SH gymnasium lobby.  

Our Budget Hearing will take place on Wednesday, May 8th at 6 pm in our auditorium, followed by the regular meeting.  

There are three (3) seats up for election.  *The candidates receiving the two (2) highest vote totals will each be elected to three (3) year terms commencing July 1, 2024 and ending June 30, 2027.  The candidate receiving the third (3rd) highest vote totals will be elected to a one (1) year term commencing on May 22, 2024 and ending on June 30, 2025 to fulfill the remainder of an unexpired term.

Board Candidate Petitions shall be filed in the office of the District Clerk between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and not later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024.  Each petition must be directed to the District Clerk, must be signed by at least twenty-five (25) qualified voters of the District, and must state the residence of each signer and the name and residence of the candidate. Candidates may request a nominating petition by calling the District Clerk at 585-658-5036.

Applications for absentee ballots may be obtained between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except holidays, from the District Clerk.  Completed applications must be received by the District Clerk at least seven (7) days before the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election, if the ballot is to be issued personally to the voter.  Absentee ballots must be received in the office of the District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m., prevailing time, on the day of the election (Tuesday, May 21, 2024). 

A qualified voter is one who is (1) a citizen of the United States of America, (2) eighteen (18) years of age or older, and (3) a resident within the District for a period of thirty (30) days preceding the annual vote and election.
