MMCSD tenth grade students stepped out of the classroom and into the world of career exploration at the seventh annual GLOW with Your Hands event, which brought together 65 organizations!

From climbing into heavy equipment to sparking welds, laying brick, wiring circuits, and testing mechatronics, students had the chance to roll up their sleeves and experience the skills behind today’s high-demand careers in agriculture, manufacturing, and the skilled trades.

Ms. Atwell shared, “This year’s GLOW with Your Hands event was the best one yet! Our students were fully engaged and had the opportunity to connect with a wide variety of amazing company representatives. They participated in a diverse range of hands-on activities, from welding and bricklaying to using screw guns and operating heavy machinery. It was truly inspiring to see our students so interested and involved throughout the entire day.”

The day gave students opportunities to discover hidden talents, connect with professionals, and imagine what their own future careers could look like.
