Some of our top finishers at the Class A4 Sectionals on 2/20 included:
- Girls 4X200 Relay (with Sarina Johnson, Anna Lin, Yujin Lin and Anna Johnson) placed 2nd
- Lance Warren placed 3rd in Pole Vault and 5th in the 55m Hurdles
- Leah Gehrig placed 3rd in the 1500m Race Walk
- Sarina Johnson placed 3rd in the 300m
- Danny McCart placed 4th in the 300m
- Anna Johnson placed 6th in the Long Jump
- Yujin Lin placed 6th in the 1000m
Yujin Lin set our new school record for the 1000m with a run of 3:50.73!!
On 2/25, Leah Gehrig competed in the Section V State Qualifiers in the 1500 Race Walk. Leah was seeded 15th during sectionals and placed 12th in all of Section V with a time of 9:55.46. In the same heat, Leah was the top ranked race walker in the entire country as well as numerous large school A1 and A2 competitors. It is a great accomplishment to compete in the meet and to place so well!!
