In January we held our 6th annual Spelling Bee for grades 1 - 8. Congratulations to our MMCSD Spelling Bee Winners! 1st Grade – Emma Winters (Championship Word: Only); 2nd Grade – Roeland Phillips (Championship Word: Spellbound); 3rd Grade – Jesus Garcia Guadalupe (Championship Word: Everyone); 4th Grade – Madison Jones (Championship Word: Torment); 5th Grade – Karsin Bonfield (Championship Word: Snooty); 6th Grade – Scott Lonsberry (Championship Word: Purchase); Jr. High – Mason Junkermann (Championship Word: Embossed). Sixth Grade Champion, Scott Lonsberry, and Junior High Champion, Mason Junkermann, will compete in the Regional Spelling Bee which will be held virtually on March 15th. The champion of the Regional Spelling Bee will advance to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. Thank you, to all who participated!
