Important Update: We would like to update the community regarding the incident that occurred the morning of Friday, January 19th. The police were able to identify the vehicle in the photograph from the security video and they were able to eliminate the driver as a suspect. Law enforcement is continuing their investigation and anyone with further information regarding this incident should contact the Mount Morris Police Department at 585-658-2155. Please remind your child(ren) to always be cautious when approached by strangers for any reason and to report anything unusual to a trusted adult.
Attention Mount Morris Community:
We are notifying the community of an incident that occurred this morning where the driver of a black, four door sedan with a yellow license plate approached a student at her bus stop and tried to lure her into his car. The driver was a white male in his fifties with dark gray hair and red cheeks. He also wore thick, dark, square-framed glasses. Attached is an actual photo of the suspect’s car that was obtained from a local security camera.
Law enforcement is actively conducting an investigation. Please remind your child(ren) to always be cautious when approached by strangers for any reason and to report anything unusual to a trusted adult. Anyone with further information regarding this car or similar incidents is asked to contact the Mount Morris Police Department at 658-2155. Thank you for your cooperation.
