Congratulations to our Athletes of the Week, Adam Johnson (Varsity Track) and Mason Santini (Varsity Basketball)! Student-athletes who receive this special recognition have excelled in sportsmanship and worked hard to maintain a positive attitude. “At the league championship on Saturday, Adam won the 600 meter, placed 2nd in the 55m hurdles and placed 3rd in the 300 meter. He has been working hard at practice and is in a great place going into sectionals this week, where he is ranked first in two events,” said Coach James. “During the basketball game against Perry, Mason’s 3 steals and 2 blocks in the 4th quarter helped seal the win and division championship,” said Coach Stout.

We honored four student-athletes during our Varsity Girls Basketball Senior Recognition Night: Angelica Caceres Pou, Bailey Lewis, Denishka Valentin and Emma Weddington. Following graduation, Angelica plans to attend college to become a Nurse. Her favorite athletic memory is playing one last season with this amazing team. Bailey will be attending St. Bonaventure to study Biology. Her favorite athletic memory is creating friendships with the most supportive teammates. Emma plans to attend college where she will study Pediatric
Oncology and plans to finish school with a PHD. Her favorite athletic memory is laughing and talking with the team before games and practices. Denishka plans on moving to North Carolina following graduation, where she will pursue a degree in Nursing. Her favorite athletic memory is when Coach Koronas participates in fun practices with the team.
