Each year the Mount Morris Blue Devil’s Athletic Department holds a special event to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of outstanding athletes, coaches, administrators, and individuals who made a significant contribution to Blue Devil Athletics. The Hall of Fame Event brings awareness to the history of Blue Devil Athletics and their many amazing accomplishments. Please join us on Friday, January 24, 2020 in our high school gymnasium where we will honor the late Joe Belliotti (Class of 1929) and Devon Milford (Class of 2013) for their accomplishments as outstanding athletes. Joe Belliotti was a starter and captain on the basketball team and a starting center fielder in baseball. During his high school years there were no fall sports. Joe was a member of the Livingston County Class A champion baseball team. Mount Morris Enterprise writer Fred Buerlin wrote that Joe was “one of the best outfielders ever to wear a Mount Morris uniform.” Joe later went on to become the Supervising Principal at MMCSD. Devon Milford was a Varsity athlete in cross country, soccer, basketball, golf, and track and field. He was named the Team MVP (most Valuable player) in 2011 for cross country. Devon finished his basketball career at MMCSD with 1,349 points which broke the 42 year old school record. He also broke track and field records for triple jump and long jump and was named an LCAA All-Star. Our Varsity girls basketball team will kick of the event with a game against Geneseo at 5:30 pm. Immediately following the girls game will be the Hall of Fame ceremony, and then our Varsity boys basketball team will play in a game against Geneseo at 7:30 pm.
