
Our Student Council is collecting donations for our 11th annual Coaches vs Cancer Fundraising Event which will take place on Saturday, February 1st. Please consider contributing a gift basket or gift card to be raffled off for this great cause! 100% of the proceeds from the event sales will go to local families battling cancer and the regional American Cancer Society. This event is a full day of basketball, Mount Morris versus York. Both communities put forth a great deal of heartfelt energy and time into organizing this charitable fundraising event. The on-court action opens with Girls JV at 1:00, followed by Boys JV at 2:30, Girls Varsity at 4, and closes with the Boys Varsity game at 5:30. There will be tables set up with gift baskets and other items to be raffled off and special event shirts for sale. We will be asking for a $2.00 donation upon entry.

Winter Concert takes place tonight! Elementary hits the stage at 6:30 P.M. with the Junior/Senior High taking the stage at 7:30 P.M. Good luck Students!

Employees from American Rock Salt visited our second grade classes to give a presentation on salt mining. The students had such a great time with this hands-on educational learning experience! Did you know the miners travel underground as far down as the Empire State Building is tall? That is more than 1,200 feet! Thank you Danny Anzalone (Mine Manager), Joshua Hendrickson (Production Supervisor), and Joe Bucci Jr. (Environmental, Health and Safety Manager) for taking the time to visit and share your knowledge with us!!

The Mount Morris Central School District Board of Education will be conducting a Special meeting on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 5:30 pm in the District Office Conference Room.

Mount Morris Central School will be operating on a 2 hour delay today, December 17, 2019. Classes will begin at 10:00 AM.

Elementary Band and Chorus will begin at 6:30 pm. If your student is in fourth grade band they will not be playing in the concert. High School Band and Chorus will begin at 7:30 pm. Our talented group of students are thrilled to show off their progress so please come out and show them your support! Friday the 20th dismissal will be at 11 am for all students PreK through 12.


Mount Morris Blue Devils had another very successful night at Brockport during our second track meet of the season! We had 14 track members who reached a new personal best which is impressive!
Ryan Morgan set a new school record jumping 39' 1/4" in triple jump, putting him in 1st place in Class D. Robbie Hartigan ran a 41.46 in the 300m, his new personal best, placing him 31st out of over 150 runners in the meet and provisionally qualifying for sectionals. Destiny Gross placed 23rd out of over 50 runners in the 1000m. One of the biggest highlights was our boys 4X200 relay team (shown below) who set a new school record! The relay team made up of Lance Warren (freshman), Ryan Morgan (senior), Jesse Bacon (senior) and Robbie Hartigan (senior) ran a time of 1:43.95. The previous school record was set in 1990 by Steve Yaw, Sokha Prak, Derek Crocker and Jeff Kane with a time of 1:51.30. Our boys relay team not only broke the record but placed 13th out of over 30 teams. Ten out of twelve of the schools who placed before our team in the relay consisted of Class A and B schools.
Our next meet is this upcoming Saturday, December 21st at Roberts Wesleyan. Go Blue Devils!!

Congratulations to Senior Danielle Callaro on being named the Genesee Valley BOCES Career & Technical Program November Student of the Month! WAY TO GO DANIELLE!!!


On Saturday, three new school records were set by our Mount Morris Boys Indoor Track and Field Team Members! Ryan Morgan set new records at 19’5” for the Long Jump and 38’ for the Triple Jump, automatically qualifying for sectionals. Steve Yaw previously held these records which were set in 1991 with 19’3” for the Long Jump and 37’ 8.5” for the Triple Jump. Brandon Flint set a new record with a distance of 35’1” for Shot Put, provisionally qualifying for sectionals. The record was previously held by Jamie Wolcott at 34’3.75”, achieved in 1991. Robbie Hartigan placed fourth overall in the 600, provisionally qualifying for sectionals, and Peyton Martin provisionally qualified in Shot Put. Congratulations to everyone who competed; we are so proud! Our next meet will be Friday, December 13th, at the Brockport College Campus at 6:00 pm.
