For every item sold our student council will receive 25% of the proceeds; Tomorrow, November 19th at 4:30 pm our Modified Girls Basketball Team will play in a game vs. Perry at Mount Morris Central High School and our Varsity Boys Basketball Team will play in a scrimmage vs. Perry at Mount Morris Central High School at 5:45 pm. Calling all Parents and caregivers of our youth! On December 4th the Hillside Children’s Center and the Council on Alcohol & Substance Abuse (CASA) are partnering up to bring our community a valuable learning event called “Shawna Has a Secret”. You will learn how to identify the signs of substance use, mental/ emotional distress and issues that may signal to you that a young person that you care about and love, may want your help. The event will be held at the Hillside building at 24 Main Street, Mount Morris from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. MMCSD would like to thank Todd Nothrop and John Carpenter from Local Union 13 for presenting to our students at our Lunch and Learn event today! During the presentation our students learned how to become a building trade apprentice. Currently there is high demand in the industry for quality plumbers, pipefitters, and service technicians. Our students learned what skills are needed to become successful in the field. Our next Lunch and Learn Event for students will be on December 4th. We are excited to welcome Heather Burritt of UR Medicine where she will discuss what it takes to become successful in the nursing industry.
Our fall play, Showdown at Palm Tree Pines will be presented this Friday November 8th and Saturday November 9th. Showtimes are at 7:00 pm both days. We have an exceptionally talented group of students who cannot wait to share their talent with our community, friends and family! This warm and quirky comedy takes place at Palm Tree Pines retirement community that just so happens to become a battleground for politics and pranks. Admission is $5.00.
