
Mount Morris Varsity Girls picked up a win over Northstar Academy. The final score was 46 to 33. The Lady Devils were led by senior, Kirsten Rivera, with 19 points 12 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, and 1 block. Also contributing was Izzy Chesnes with 15 points and 4 rebounds. The Lady Devils play Perry this upcoming Friday and look to pull our record back to .500 and pick up a division win. Come show your support!

Mount Morris Elementary students will be competing at the 2019 Genesee Valley School Music Association (GVSMA) All-County I Festival on January 25, 2019, and January 26, 2019, hosted by the Avon Central School District. All-County I will take place at the Avon CSD High School at 1:30pm on Saturday, January 26 in the high school gymnasium. Come out and support the Blue Devils as they face Dansville, tonight, 1/2/19, as JV plays at 5:30 pm and Varsity plays at 7:00 pm. The varsity game will be broadcasted live from WDNY!

MM Physics students are creating and operating Rube Goldberg devices. Rube Goldberg was best known for creating machines that consist of a series of simple devices that are linked together to produce a domino effect, in which each device triggers the next one. #mmpride

MM 1st grade classes gathered together to hear Mrs. Bruckel read Dr. Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” After reading the book, students created their own Grinch. #mmpride

The Mount Morris Lady Devils are currently 4 and 3 and play their next game at home on Wednesday night, December 19th, against Pavilion.
The Girls Varsity Basketball team defeated Honeoye last Thursday, December 13th, by a score of 52-39. Kirsten Rivera led the way with a triple double 11 points, 11 rebounds, 10 steals, and 6 assists, Izzy Chesnes added 8 points, 7 rebounds, and Taylor Steen scored 8 points in the victory.
On Monday, December 17th, Mount Morris Lady Devils defeated Lima Christian by a score of 47-38. They were led by Senior Kirsten Rivera who notched her second consecutive triple double with 18 points, 14 rebounds, 10 steals, and 4 assists last night against Lima Christian.
Kirsten Rivera is making the necessary plays to be an effective captain and leader of the Lady Devils. Her play these past two games has been outstanding.
The Lady devils also had excellent play from Sophomore Izzy Chesnes, who had 9 points and 9 rebounds and Taylor Steen (Junior) who had 8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.

Mrs. Collins and Mrs. Meyers’ have incorporated hands-on learning in their shapes unit as students create holiday ornaments made out of salt dough with holiday shaped cookie cutters.
