
This past Friday, our Mount Morris Boys and Girls Track teams took 6th place out of 18 teams at the Class D Section V Finals. The highlight of the night was when both the Girls and Boys 4x1 Relay took home 1st place. The girls relay consisting of Taylor Steen, Vanessa Mancuso, Maddy Regal, and Sierra Somers ran a time of 53.46 seconds, while the boys relay of Brandon Flint, Franky Mendez, Joey Pagano, and Devon Young ran a time of 45.31 seconds. There were many spectacular individual performances that took place as well:
Devon Young- 2nd in the 200m and 3rd in the 100m
Robbie Hartigan- 4th in the 400m
Kane Hoag- 4th in High Jump and 5th in Pole Vault
Justin Martin- 5th in Discus
Joey Pagano- 5th in Shot Put
Vanessa Mancuso- 3rd in Pole Vault, 4th in High Jump, and 5th in the 100m
Sierra Somers- 4th in the 100m and 4th in the 200m
The Boys 4x400 Relay consisting of Franky Mendez, Kane Hoag, Devon Young, and Robbie Hartigan earned a 2nd place finish with a time of 3:40.68 seconds.
Vanessa Mancuso broke her own school record in the Pole Vault with a height of 8'3".
With two 4th place finishes and anchoring the winning 4x1 relay, Sierra Somers joined the 100 point club on the season.
Franky Mendez continued to add to his Hall of Fame career, winning his 3rd Sectional patch on the Track and 5th overall.
Great job to all the athletes who competed in Sectionals!
Good luck to the 4x1 Relays on Friday when they travel to Caledonia-Mumford to compete in the State Qualifiers!

BASEBALL UPDATE: The Mt Morris/ Perry Varsity Baseball game against Red Jacket at Red Jacket today has been postponed until tomorrow.

The #9 Perry/Mt Morris Varsity Boys Baseball team defeated #8 Lyons by the score of 5-3. The team will now play Tuesday, 5/22/2018 at 4:30 pm at #1 Red Jacket . Please wish them luck!

Mount Morris Central School Senior, Evan Michaels, was awarded a 2nd place finish (silver) at the 2018 Genesee Valley Educational Partnership Digital Media Festival (Digies) for his electronic music composition "TV Static Sky"! #mmpride

On 5/18/18, Mount Morris Track Athletes competed in the LCAA championships. The boys 4x1 Relay consisting of Brandon Flint, Franky Mendez, Joey Pagano, and Devon Young ran a time of 45.66 seconds to capture the title! It also was the 4th fastest time ever ran in MMCSD history. Devon Young had individual success in the 100m and 200m, placing 2nd and 3rd. Kane Hoag took home a 3rd place ribbon in the High Jump, while Franky Mendez took home a 6th place ribbon in the 400m Hurdles. Great work gentlemen! On the girls side, the 4x1 relay consisting of Taylor Steen, Vanessa Mancuso, Maddy Regal, and Sierra Somers ran a time of 53.95 seconds to take home a 5th place ribbon. Vanessa Mancuso also took home the 5th place ribbon in the Pole Vault. Good job ladies! Mount Morris Track Stars will be competing in sectionals on 5/25/18 in Marion starting @ 4:30pm. On 5/14/18 in his final home meet, Devon Young joined the MM Track and Field 100 Point Club! He currently has 112 points going into the LCAA Championships on 5/18/18. If you see him in the halls today make sure you congratulate him on his success. Great job Devon! #mmpride

On 5/14/18 the MM Boys Track & Field Team lost a heart breaker to Keshequa 75.5 - 65.5. Devon Young lead the scoring with 19 points, while Kane Hoag scored 12 points respectfully, Brandon Flint and Joey Pagano each contributed 10 points a piece. Good effort boys, we'll get them next year!
On the girls side, Sierra Somers and Vanessa Mancuso each scored in double figures, while the girls 4x1 consisting of Taylor Steen, Vanessa Mancuso, Maddy Regal, and Sierra Somers put in another dominating performance on the Track. Good work ladies!
Please come out and support your Mount Morris Track athletes this Thursday, 5/17/18 in Dansville and Friday 5/18/18 in Cal-Mum when they compete in this years LCAA Championships.
